Get the Right Insurance Without the Guesswork
Independent guidance to help individuals, families, and small business owners find affordable health, life, and Medicare coverage, with benefits they understand and no unexpected gaps.
The math you've been quietly avoiding
You're healthy. You don't go to the doctor much. So when the plans came up and the good one cost more than your car payment, you took the cheap one and told yourself you'd be fine. Most of the time, you are.
But somewhere in the back of your mind is the number. Six thousand. Seven thousand. Whatever your deductible is: the amount you'd have to pay before your insurance does anything at all. And you're not entirely sure what happens after that, because nobody ever explained it.
You shouldn't have to be afraid of your own health insurance.
You should feel protected. That is a fixable problem, and fixing it is the whole job.

“I've missed a mortgage payment to avoid medical collections. I know firsthand the financial stress a high-deductible plan can cause.”
I know what happens after you enroll.
I spent eleven years at Kaiser Permanente handling benefits, claims, and billing. I know how coverage works when something goes wrong—not just how it looks on paper.

Most of my clients are in one of three situations.
You work for yourself
Freelancer, contractor, consultant or realtor. You earn well enough that assistance programs don't reach you.
You're covering a family
You need your kids' pediatrician covered, and one bad month not to undo years of saving.
You run a small business
You're covering yourself and people who rely on you, without a cost you can't sustain.
Three steps. No pressure at any of them.
01
Schedule an appointment
We meet virtually or in person and talk through your situation. What you have now, what worries you, who your doctors are, what you can actually afford each month.
02
Get a custom plan
I shop the market and bring you options built around what you told me, not around what's easiest to sell. I check whether your doctors are in network before you commit, and I explain the deductible, the out-of-pocket maximum and the coinsurance in plain English.
03
Enjoy quality, affordable coverage
You enroll knowing exactly what you have. And you keep my number.
Enrolling is the easy part. I stay for the rest.
A lot of agents disappear the moment the policy is issued. That's backwards. The year after you enroll is when you actually need someone.
A claim gets denied.
Denials are often coding errors, missing referrals, or a service filed under the wrong category. I spent years on that side of the desk. I'll help you figure out what happened and what to do about it.
A bill looks wrong.
Before you pay it, send it to me. We'll check it against your plan, against what the carrier actually processed, and against what you were told it would cost. Sometimes the bill is right. Often enough it isn't.
Your life changes.
Marriage, a baby, a move, a spouse losing coverage. Several of these open a special enrollment window, usually 60 days, and missing it can mean waiting until next fall. Tell me early and we'll handle it in time.
Renewal comes around.
Plans change every year. Networks change. Prices change. Each fall I'll look at what you have, tell you honestly whether it's still the right fit, and let you know if it isn't.

7 Questions to Ask Before You Pick a Health Plan

Questions people actually ask
If yours isn't here, ask me directly. Book a Free Consultation and bring every question you have.
Does it cost more to use a broker?
No. Insurance carriers pay broker commissions, so the premium is the same whether you enroll through me or on your own. You're not paying extra for help. You're just choosing whether to have it.
Then how do you get paid?
The carrier pays me a commission when a policy is issued, and a smaller amount each year it renews. That's worth saying plainly: I get paid more when clients stay, which means my interest is in putting you somewhere you'll actually want to stay.
Can't I just do this myself on healthcare.gov?
You absolutely can, and plenty of people do. The difference is what happens around the enrollment: checking whether your specific doctors are in network, reading how a plan treats prescriptions, and having someone to call in March when a claim gets denied. The website won't do those things. I will.
What does the first call involve?
About thirty minutes. I'll ask what you have now, what's worrying you, who your doctors are, and what you can realistically spend each month. You'll leave knowing more than you did, whether or not you decide to work with me. There's no cost and no obligation.
When can I actually change my plan?
For coverage starting in 2027, open enrollment runs November 1 through December 15, 2026. Outside that window, a qualifying life event, like losing coverage, marriage, a birth or a move, usually opens a special enrollment period of about 60 days. If something has changed for you, don't wait to ask.
I'm self-employed and I don't get any help with premiums. Is there anything I can do?
Yes, and it's the situation I work with most. There are more options than the one you looked at, they differ in ways that matter, and choosing well makes a real difference. Some self-employed people can also deduct their premiums on their taxes. I'm an insurance broker, not a tax advisor, so check that one with your CPA.
Do you help with life insurance too?
Yes. Many of my clients start with health coverage and realise they should sort out life insurance while they're at it. We can cover both in the same conversation.
Let's find out what you're actually working with.
One conversation. No cost, no obligation, no pressure. Worst case, you understand your current plan better than you did this morning.
